This digital sculpture depicts the aftermath of one of the most pivotal moments in Norse mythology: the beheading of Mímir, the wise counselor whose knowledge was coveted by gods and giants alike. Following the Æsir–Vanir War, Mímir was sent to the Vanir as part of a peace exchange. Suspecting deception, the Vanir executed him and returned his severed head to Odin, setting into motion one of the most enduring legends of wisdom and sacrifice.

The composition captures the stark brutality of the event. Mímir's body lies sprawled across the ground, limbs extended in a cruciform arrangement that emphasizes both vulnerability and finality. His severed head rests beside him, separated yet still commanding attention through its detailed facial features and flowing beard. The contrast between the lifeless body and the preserved visage hints at the mythological fate awaiting Mímir's head, which Odin would later preserve through magic and consult for counsel.
