Dumpy McHornface and Grock

This sculpt depicts a comical interdimensional standoff frozen at its most chaotic moment. Grock and Dumpy, two volatile creatures from another reality, have worked themselves into a heated argument and are seconds away from throwing punches. Standing bravely—and somewhat foolishly—between them is Edwin, Grock’s roommate, stretching his arms to their absolute limit in an attempt to keep the peace.

The trio’s strange coexistence began after a physics experiment at the University of Tennessee went disastrously wrong. Edwin was part of the research team responsible for the experiment, which accidentally tore open a dimensional rift and zapped Grock, Dumpy, and several other unfortunate individuals into our universe. While others scattered or adapted more quietly, Grock and Dumpy ended up under the same roof, with Edwin reluctantly cast as their full‑time mediator.

The sculpt emphasizes exaggerated anatomy, strong silhouettes, and playful contrast in scale and pose to sell the humor of the moment. Grock and Dumpy’s massive, confrontational builds frame Edwin’s tall, lanky form, turning a potential monster brawl into a lighthearted narrative scene.

The characters were sculpted in ZBrush, with final presentation and background finishing completed in Clip Studio Paint.
