"I Yam What I Yam" – Stylized Popeye Sculpt

This project is a modern reinterpretation of a classic character, sculpted entirely in **ZBrush**. The goal was to push the recognizable silhouette of the iconic sailor while exploring a more **gritty, hyper-defined aesthetic**.

The sculpt exaggerates key features—oversized forearms, heavy vascular detail, and a more chiseled facial structure—to give the character a **harder, more imposing presence** while still retaining the unmistakable elements: the sailor cap, anchor tattoo, pipe, and of course, the spinach.

Primary focus areas included:

* **Anatomy stylization**: amplifying muscle mass and tension while maintaining a believable flow
* **Facial structure**: sharpening planes and adding weight to the brow and jaw for a more intense look
* **Surface detailing**: subtle skin texture, veins, and polish passes to enhance realism within a stylized framework
* **Clean topology and form readability** for strong presentation lighting

The intent was to walk the line between **classic cartoon design and modern character realism**, creating something that feels both familiar and reimagined.

And yes… somewhere along the way it kind of turned into *Popeye with a Punisher vibe* — still powered by spinach, just a little more ready to throw down. 💀💪
