There Are Weight Classes... Then There Are Orcs

The crowd falls silent as the challenger steps into the ring.

Across the canvas stands a mountain of muscle, tusks, and fury. Forged by battle and built like a siege engine, the orc fighter towers over the competition. But skill, speed, and determination have defeated giants before.

This ZBrush sculpt was created as an exercise in fantasy character design and anatomy studies. I wanted to capture the moment before the first punch is thrown, when both fighters are sizing each other up and the outcome is still uncertain.

Whether the match ends in an upset or a knockout, one thing is certain: somebody is leaving the ring with a story to tell.
