Daydreams of Ithelorn the Woodland Elf

**Description:**

Had some fun with this ZBrush piece exploring contrast and character storytelling in a simple scene. This is Ithelorn, a woodland elf who’s maybe a little more *comfortable* than legendary at the moment—caught mid-read in a cozy chair.

The sculpt plays with two versions of the same character. Down below is the grounded version: softer forms, relaxed posture, heavier midsection, and a bit of that “forest retirement energy.” I wanted the anatomy here to feel natural and slightly exaggerated for personality rather than heroism.

Up in the thought bubble, though, is how Ithelorn sees himself (or maybe remembers himself): super stylized, hyper-defined musculature, big heroic pose, and way more presence. I leaned into sharper forms and stronger lighting to really sell that idealized, almost statue-like physique.

Both versions share similar design elements—boots, green leggings, headwear—to keep them clearly connected while letting the forms do most of the storytelling.

Overall, this was a fun exercise in:

* Stylized anatomy contrast
* Visual storytelling without a full environment
* Character personality through pose and proportion

Also tried to keep things a little tongue-in-cheek… because let’s be real, we’ve all got our “thought bubble version” of ourselves 😄
