Grock Contraposto

Another pose study of Grock, the Emotional Support Orc, this time pushing a more dynamic and expressive angle. I wanted to get away from the straight neutral stance and explore something that shows a bit more personality—almost like he’s mid-conversation or reacting to something, which fits his “support” role a little better.
The focus here was on maintaining that exaggerated, heroic anatomy while testing how it holds up in a more off-balance, lifted pose. The raised leg and open hand helped break symmetry and gave me a chance to look at weight, tension, and how the forms flow when the body isn’t just standing still. I kept the surface treatment simple again so the forms and silhouette read clearly.
Grock still keeps his core design elements—tusks, piercings, and glowing eyes—but I like how this pose makes him feel a bit more approachable and less like a typical static fantasy brute.
