Grock the Emotional Support Orc

Meet Grock — the Emotional Support Orc. This character started as a fun idea I kept coming back to: an orc who’s trying to break away from the usual role of villain and instead be something closer to a hero… or at least someone you’d actually want on your side.

The logo piece was my attempt to capture that idea in a bold, simple way—almost like a mascot or emblem you’d see on a patch or brand. I leaned into strong shapes and a circular composition to frame him, with that stencil-style text wrapping around. There’s a bit of humor in the name, but I still wanted Grock to feel solid and confident, not like a joke character. The glowing eyes and tusks keep that classic orc intensity, while the overall presentation softens it into something more approachable.

The full-body sculpt was where I really worked out his proportions and design language. I pushed a more heroic, exaggerated anatomy—big chest, thick arms, solid stance—while keeping things clean and readable. It’s a pretty straightforward ZBrush render without textures, mainly focused on form, silhouette, and getting a strong base for the character. I also kept the outfit minimal to stay focused on the sculpt itself.

Overall this was a mix of character design and a bit of world-building, figuring out what an “emotional support orc” might actually look like in our world.

Sculpted in **ZBrush**, with the logo design finished in **Clip Studio Paint**.
