Wolverine — “SNIKT!” | ZBrush Sculpt
A stylized take on one of my favorite comic book characters, Wolverine, and a 3D version of the 2D drawing I did a few days ago.
For this sculpt, I wanted to push the exaggerated proportions and iconic silhouette while keeping the character instantly recognizable. The massive brow, wild hair, pronounced mutton chops, and oversized forearms were all designed to emphasize Logan’s ferocity and physical presence. The pose captures that split-second before he launches into action—the classic “SNIKT!” moment when the claws come out and everyone knows things are about to get messy.
Created entirely in ZBrush, with a focus on character design, form language, and expressive anatomy. I experimented with contrasting smooth stylized surfaces against rougher skin and hair textures to give the model a more tactile, comic-inspired feel.
This piece was a great exercise in:
* Stylized character sculpting
* Facial expression and personality
* Anatomy exaggeration
* Hair sculpting
* Surface detailing and presentation rendering
Thanks for taking a look! Feedback and critiques are always welcome.
